Kendal Co is a sole proprietorship operated by Bradley Kendal, based in Summerland, British Columbia, Canada. We provide website design, digital marketing, social media management, and related services to businesses across the Okanagan.

What Information We Collect

We collect information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

  • Fill out a contact form or audit request on our website
  • Email or call us
  • Sign a service agreement with us
  • Provide business information during onboarding (logos, brand assets, account credentials)

This may include:

  • Your name and business name
  • Email address and phone number
  • Business website URL
  • Business type and industry
  • Account credentials you share with us for the purpose of managing your online presence (Google Business Profile, social media accounts, website hosting)

We do not collect payment card information directly. Payments are processed through third-party services (Stripe, Interac e-Transfer) that have their own privacy policies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your inquiries and provide free website audits
  • Deliver the services described in our service agreement (website builds, social media management, SEO, content writing)
  • Manage your accounts on your behalf (Google Business Profile, social media, website hosting) with your authorization
  • Send you monthly performance reports and project updates
  • Communicate about your account and our services

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

How We Protect Your Information

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including:

  • Storing account credentials in an encrypted password manager
  • Using secure, encrypted connections (SSL/TLS) on our website
  • Limiting access to your information to only those who need it to deliver your services (which is Bradley Kendal personally)

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Account Access and Credentials

Some of our services require us to access your business accounts (Google Business Profile, social media, website hosting). When you provide account credentials:

  • We use them only for the specific services described in our agreement
  • They are stored securely in an encrypted password manager
  • We will return or delete all credentials within 30 days of the end of our service agreement
  • You can revoke access at any time by changing your passwords and notifying us

Website Analytics

Our website may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. These tools may collect:

  • Pages visited and time spent on pages
  • Referring website or search terms
  • Browser type, device type, and general geographic location

This data is aggregated and anonymized. We do not use it to identify individual visitors.

Your Rights Under BC PIPA

Under British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you
  • Request access to your personal information
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Withdraw your consent for us to use your information (which may affect our ability to provide services)

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Generally:

  • Contact form submissions: 24 months after last interaction
  • Client records: 7 years after the end of our service agreement (for tax and legal purposes)
  • Account credentials: Deleted within 30 days of service termination
